The Financial Planning Association is the membership organization for the financial planning community. The association was created based on the unification of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP) and the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP). The membership includes individuals and companies who have contributed to building the financial planning profession.

The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors is the largest professional association of comprehensive, FEE-ONLY, financial planners in the United States.
